Dr. Caitlin Giesler received her medical degree from The University of Texas - Houston Medical School in Houston, TX. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Cincinnati. During her fellowship, Dr. Giesler pursued research on heart failure in women and the evaluation of cardiac biomarkers in hospitalized patients.
Dr. Giesler believes in prevention through risk factor modification and optimal medical management which is achieved by a team-based approach including patients and their families. She is also especially interested in nuclear cardiology and heart disease in women.
Dr. Giesler is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Nuclear Cardiology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. She is also a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society.
